Help you – set up and lead a group at work

We want to encourage Christians who have the gifts and energy, to set-up and lead new groups in the workplace.

Rather than 're-inventing the wheel' why not call on our expertise and experience to help you set-up the best group for your situation. Maybe you would like us to help you improve an existing group you are leading.

The type of group depends on what you are aiming to do. Below is a sample list of possible types of groups with their corresponding aims and features.

Evangelistic Prayer Team (EPT)

To encourage the members in personal evangelism.

  • For mature Christians.
  • Meets fortnightly.
  • Uses a specially designed booklet.
  • Each meeting begins with a '5 minute bible talk'.
  • Between 3-7 people.

Bible reading group

To teach members to read and understand the bible for themselves.

  • For anyone interested in learning from the bible.
  • Particularly good for people who don't attend a good bible teaching church.
  • Little preparation from the leader required.
  • Weekly or fortnightly.

Investigating Christianity Studies (ICS) group

For non-Christians to consider man's relationship with God from the bible.

  • 5 sessions.
  • 4 bible studies.
  • Non-Christians get to see what the bible says for themselves.

Evangelism Training Group

To equip Christians to be more effective in sharing Christ at work

  • A number of training courses to choose from ranging from 6-9 sessions.
  • Leader trained to train others.

In-House evangelistic event

Organise a 'one-off' evangelistic event within your company or firm or for your friends.

  • Gather a team of Christians to help you.
  • Make sure all the details are covered.
  • Work out a good follow-up strategy.
  • Help you find a speaker.

In-House Christian Fellowship group

Evangelize and Edify people within your company or firm

  • A multi pronged strategy to evangelise non-Christians and edify Christians with a company of firm.
  • A combination of the above groups depending on gifts and resources available.
