Training Courses – Overview of courses

1. Ecom offers training in the four courses below. From time to time we may offer additional training courses or one-off seminars.
2. Most of the training materials used in these courses come from Matthias Media.
3. Some reasonable cost is usually involved to cover the cost of materials plus overheads.

Training Course	No of Sessions	Purpose
Personal Evangelism ('Two Ways to Live)	7	Learn to lead someone to Christ using a short gospel presentation. The course involves learning drawings, statements and memory verses as well as 'end game' scenarios.  Other topics covered include 'Understanding the gospel' and 'Answers to Common Questions.' The course also involves a practical component ie. trying to find people to share the gospel presentation with.
Investigating Christianity Studies (ICS)	6	Learn to take an interested enquirer through a set of four 'Investigating Christianity' studies. 'Who is God, Who is Man, Who is Jesus, Right with God'.
Living for Jesus (How to be an effective witness in the workplace)	4	Week 1: 1 Peter 3 - the relationship between word and deed. My role in the harvest field. Week 2: Understanding the workplace - its place in mission. Week 3: The importance of being a Godly worker. Week 4: Growing in confidence to share Jesus.
Personal Follow-up	9	Learn to follow-up and disciple a new believer in the fundamentals of the Christian life. Cover 7 basic areas of the Christian life such as Assurance, Saved by Grace, Holiness, , The bible, Prayer, Church, Relating to Outsiders. The course also looks at the example of the apostle Paul as he followed up the Thessalonian Christians in 1 Thessalonians 1-3.
EPT Leaders Training Course	1	Learn to set-up and lead an Evangelistic Prayer Team. This is a one day course which goes from 10.00am-4.30pm. Understand the theology and thinking behind EPT's. Learn to give a five minute talk. Two hours preparation is required for this course.
